Quote from IndieDB: “We've finally gotten a chance to work on ranged weapons, which are the basis of our ranger class. We started off with a bow which many consider mandatory if you want to have a archer-esque class. We wanted to capture the key characteristics of the classic archer. What initially came to mind were how versatile archers seem to be in modern media with their various arrowheads, versatility and of course deadly accuracy.” Source: indiedb.com/games/land-of-fire/news/archery

Quote from IndieDB: “I would like to dive a little deeper into the creatures of LoF. You see, Yokai inhabit the world of LoF, and can possess animals and humans alike, changing them into the monsters you will face on your journey. Low tier Yokai inhabit animals, this is an example of how a bunny will transform if possessed by Yokai.” Source: indiedb.com/games/land-of-fire/news/land-of-fire-devlog-31

The forums for the most part are still under construction. Right now it's just a hub for us to get centralized feedback on development. We haven't had much luck getting feedback(because there are no playable builds available at the moment.) All in all we're grateful to those who're checking in regularly!

That is definitely one of the pros of offering premium models. Nothing is really set in stone but we're still discussing which would be best for Land of fire.

That's also an option we might sell the game at one flat price. Still up in the air though.

Yeah, that is our current choice of monetization. But, we're not really settled on it at this point. This might change as we move closer to a release.

Quote from IndieDB: “Wards are spiritually attuned to the world more than other classes. This often leads to wards being followed around by Spirits. These spirits are normally harmless but they quickly grow and change depending on who they're following. A type of symbiotic relationship is formed. The seishin protects the person they are linked to in return for being able to continue feeding on the spiritual energies of the person.” Source: indiedb.com/games/land-of-fire/news/land-of-fire-devlog-…

  • Our inspiration stems from quite a few things. The good old days of runescape plays a role in our inspiration regarding online play. These days I enjoy sandbox worlds and persistent ones at that. EVE online has been a huge role model when it comes to this. Everything there is driven entirely by their community and that's something I'd also want to see in Land of fire. I'd like to see people shaping the gameworld. Everything from in-game factions to influencing the economy.
